Tonybet Padel | Basecamp Tiered Seating & Bleachers

Modular spectator seating for a major indoor padel facility in Latvia.

When Tonybet Padel required spectator seating for its indoor padel facility in Latvia, Huxlo supplied a large modular Basecamp tiered seating installation, creating comfortable courtside seating while complementing the contemporary interior of the venue.

Working with our customer LNK Industries, Huxlo manufactured the tiered seating in the UK before exporting the complete system to Latvia for installation by the local team.

The project demonstrates how modular bleacher and tiered seating can be integrated into padel clubs, providing substantial spectator capacity without the visual weight of traditional stadium seating.

Creating spectator seating for padel

Padel clubs present an interesting seating challenge. Courts typically sit alongside circulation and social spaces, so spectator seating needs to provide good views of the action while making efficient use of the available floor area.

For Tonybet Padel, a long bank of tiered seating was positioned between the courts, allowing spectators to watch matches from an elevated position while retaining circulation alongside the seating.

Rather than conventional metal or plastic sports bleachers, the client selected our Basecamp modular tiered seating system. The result has more of an architectural, furniture-led appearance that suits the premium interior of a modern indoor padel club.

The finished installation also demonstrates the flexibility of the space. During everyday use it provides courtside seating for players and spectators, while the images from events at the venue show the same tiers accommodating a much larger audience.

The Basecamp configuration

The installation combines Basecamp TS01, TS04, TS06 and TS14 modules, allowing the seating layout, access steps and end sections to be assembled from our standard modular system.

For this project, the Basecamp units were produced with an oak panel finish, creating a warm timber appearance against the industrial architecture and black court structures of the padel centre.

Individual upholstered seat pads in contrasting green and orange were positioned across the tiers, adding comfort and introducing colour to the spectator area.

The tiered arrangement allows several rows of spectators to occupy a relatively narrow footprint while maintaining sightlines towards the courts.

Designed in the UK, installed in Latvia

One of the key requirements of the project was that the seating could be supplied internationally without requiring a Huxlo installation team on site.

The Basecamp seating was designed and manufactured at our UK workshop before being prepared for export to Latvia. The modular components were then installed locally by the customer.

This approach can be particularly useful for padel clubs and sports facilities across Europe, where local contractors can undertake installation while Huxlo supplies the manufactured seating system.

By designing the seating around repeatable modules, we can create much larger configurations while keeping manufacture, shipping and on-site assembly manageable.

Bleacher seating without the stadium aesthetic

Traditional sports bleachers are designed primarily around capacity. For padel clubs, however, spectator seating often forms a prominent part of the interior even when matches aren't taking place.

Basecamp provides an alternative approach.

The timber construction means the seating can sit comfortably alongside reception areas, cafés, breakout spaces and other hospitality elements. The tiers can be used for watching sport, waiting between games or simply as informal social seating.

At Tonybet Padel, the completed installation feels much more like a piece of large-scale furniture than a conventional spectator stand.

And when the venue gets busy, it still performs the fundamental job of bleacher seating: fitting a large number of spectators into a compact footprint with elevated views of the action.

Tiered seating for padel clubs

As padel facilities become larger and increasingly incorporate tournaments, leagues and social events, spectator accommodation becomes an important part of venue planning.

Modular tiered seating can be configured for different court layouts and available spaces, including:

  • Courtside spectator seating
  • Seating between multiple padel courts
  • Tournament and event viewing areas
  • Club social spaces
  • Presentation and awards areas
  • Informal waiting and breakout spaces

Basecamp configurations can be developed from standard modules or planned around a larger project layout.
