Creating spaces for focus and collaboration
We recently manufactured and installed a combination of Huxlo office booths for CGI's Manchester workplace, providing dedicated spaces for both focused individual work and small meetings.
The project included two Havn 2-person booths alongside two Stuga phone booths, giving employees a choice of private spaces without the need to construct permanent meeting rooms.
Havn 2-Person Booths
The Havn booths provide comfortable semi-private spaces for two people to meet, collaborate or work away from the main office.
Designed and manufactured by Huxlo in the UK, Havn combines upholstered panels with integrated lighting and power to create an inviting workspace that can be introduced into an existing office with minimal disruption.
Its modular construction allows the booth to be transported in individual panels before being assembled on site, making it particularly suited to office fit-outs and retrofit projects.
For CGI, two Havn booths were installed to create additional informal meeting spaces within the communal areas.
Stuga Phonebox Booths
Alongside the collaborative spaces, two Stuga phone booths provide enclosed individual spaces for calls, video meetings and focused work.
The compact footprint allows Stuga to create privacy within an open-plan office without taking up the space required for a conventional meeting room.
Acoustic wall construction, integrated ventilation, lighting, power and a built-in work surface make each booth ready for everyday use.
Manufactured and installed by Huxlo
All four booths were manufactured at our Exeter workshop before being delivered to Manchester and assembled on site by the Huxlo team.
Designing our booths around a modular panel system means the individual components can pass through standard doorways and be assembled in their final location. This makes Havn and Stuga suitable for both new office fit-outs and existing workplaces where access can otherwise make installing large furniture difficult.
The completed installation gives CGI a mix of two-person meeting spaces and individual acoustic phone booths helping provide different working environments within the wider office.
